LSU vs. Auburn Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the LSU vs. Auburn football game
Game Recap
The LSU Tigers weren't able to make up for their loss to the Auburn Tigers from their previous meeting last October. LSU didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 24-19 to Auburn on Saturday. That's the fewest points LSU has scored all year.
Auburn QB Bo Nix was slinging it as he passed for one TD and 255 yards on 44 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 74 yards. Nix had some trouble finding his footing against the Georgia State Panthers last week, so this was a step in the right direction.
A silver lining for LSU was the play of WR Kayshon Boutte, who caught six passes for one TD and 127 yards.
The defeat dropped LSU's record to 3-2. The win bumped Auburn's record up to 4-1.
LSU will square off against the Kentucky Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Kroger Field. UK's offense will need to be on point to get points against LSU's defense, which is averaging only 16.8 points allowed per game. Auburn will look to defend their home turf next Saturday against the Georgia Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. ET. Both of those teams have allowed few points on average (Auburn 16.2, UGA 4.6), so any points scored will be well earned.
