Louisville vs. Syracuse: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Friday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Louisville vs. Syracuse football game
Game Recap
The Syracuse Orange had a rough go of it last November when they matched up with the Louisville Cardinals and had to endure more of the same on Friday. Things couldn't have gone much worse for 'Cuse as they lost 30 to nothing. That's the first shutout they have experienced all year.
No one had a standout game offensively for U of L, but they got scores from WR Chatarius Atwell and RB Jalen Mitchell.
Special teams collected 12 points for the Cardinals. K James Turner delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
'Cuse is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8. The win bumped U of L's record up to 3-6.
'Cuse will square off against the NC State Wolfpack at noon ET next week at Carrier Dome. The Orange have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability NC State is surely hoping to exploit. The Cardinals will be hunkering down at home again for their game against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at noon ET Nov. 28 at Cardinal Stadium. If the matchup is anything like U of L's 62-59 victory from their previous meeting in October of last year, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
