Live scores, highlights and updates from the Louisville vs. Kentucky football game
3rd Quarter Report
Only one more quarter stands between Louisville and the victory they were favored to collect coming into this afternoon. A win is still up for grabs for either team after three quarters, but Louisville is up 24-21 over Kentucky.
Louisville entered the matchup having won four straight and they're just one quarter away from another. Will they make it five, or will Kentucky step up and spoil it? We'll know soon.
Preview
Two dominant backs in Jawhar Jordan and Ray Davis are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Louisville Cardinals will be playing at home against the Kentucky Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. Louisville will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Saturday, Louisville was able to grind out a solid victory over Miami (FL), taking the game 38-31. That's two games straight that Louisville has won by exactly seven points.
Louisville's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Isaac Guerendo, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown, and Jack Plummer, who threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Kentucky had to settle for a 17-14 loss against South Carolina on Saturday. Kentucky has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Louisville's victory lifted them to 10-1 while Kentucky's defeat dropped them down to 6-5.
Looking forward, Louisville is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by seven points. Be careful betting them against the spread as while they're 8-2-1 ATS overall, they're only 0-4 against Kentucky in their most recent matchups.
Louisville came up short against Kentucky in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 26-13. Will Louisville have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check CBS Sports after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other college football content.
