Louisville vs. Eastern Kentucky Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Louisville vs. Eastern Kentucky football game
Game Recap
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday. They made easy work of the Eastern Kentucky Colonels and carried off a 30-3 victory. Since the Cardinals won the last time these teams met, too, this is only more fuel for the fire driving Eastern Kentucky's future revenge.
U of L's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 20 points in the first half. The Colonels weren't quite able to keep up, and the score was 20-3 heading into the break. The Louisville defense was impenetrable in the third quarter, shutting them out and essentially clinching the game. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 1-1.
The Cardinals will play host again and welcome the UCF Knights to Cardinal Stadium, where kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET next Friday. UCF is coming in off of a big 63-14 win over the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats. Eastern Kentucky will be playing at home against the Indiana State Sycamores at 7 p.m. ET next Saturday. Indiana State also experienced difficulties finding the end zone in their matchup this week, so look for the defenses to decide this one.
