Game Recap
On Saturday, the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks were out to avenge their 70-20 loss to the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns from their previous meeting last November, but they had no such luck. The Warhawks didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 21-16 to Louisiana. Louisiana-Monroe hasn't found any success against the Ragin' Cajuns since Sept. 23 of 2017, this defeat making it four in a row.
No one had a standout game offensively for Louisiana, but they got scores from RB Chris Smith, WR Kyren Lacy, and RB Emani Bailey.
Louisiana-Monroe's loss came about despite a quality game from WR Malik Jackson, who rushed for one TD and 106 yards on 24 carries.
The loss dropped Louisiana-Monroe's record to 4-8. Louisiana's victory brought them up to 11-1.
The Warhawks' regular season is over. The Ragin' Cajuns will stay at home against the Appalachian State Mountaineers at 3:30 p.m. ET Dec. 4 at Cajun Field. Like Louisiana, Appalachian State is also coming into the game bolstered by a recent win.
