Liberty vs. Old Dominion Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Liberty vs. Old Dominion football game
Liberty is 3-0 against Old Dominion since September of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Liberty Flames will be playing at home against the Old Dominion Monarchs at 1:00 p.m. ET at Williams Stadium. Liberty will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Liberty put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They put the hurt on Louisiana Tech with a sharp 56-30 win. With that win, Liberty brought their scoring average up to 39.1 points per game.
Quinton Cooley and Kaidon Salter were among the main playmakers for Liberty as the former rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry and the latter threw for 297 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt. Aaron Bedgood also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, the point spread may have favored Old Dominion last Saturday, but the final result did not. They took a 28-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coastal Carolina. While the oddsmakers failed to call the winner, they nailed the 51.5 point over/under.
Grant Wilson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 172 yards and three touchdowns.
Liberty's victory bumped their season record to 9-0 while Old Dominion's loss dropped theirs to 4-5.
Looking forward, Liberty is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 13.5 points. Those interested in the spread don't face an easy decision since they are 7-2 and Old Dominion is 3-1.
Liberty strolled past Old Dominion in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 by a score of 38-24. Will Liberty repeat their success, or does Old Dominion have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
