Liberty vs. Louisiana: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Liberty vs. Louisiana football game
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are on the road again on Saturday and play against the Liberty Flames at 4 p.m. ET Nov. 20 at Williams Stadium. Louisiana should still be feeling good after a victory, while Liberty will be looking to right the ship.
The Ragin' Cajuns bagged a 35-21 win over the Troy Trojans last week. Louisiana's QB Levi Lewis did his thing and passed for three TDs and 166 yards on 22 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 44 yards. Lewis' 52-yard touchdown toss to WR Michael Jefferson in the first quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the afternoon.
Meanwhile, Liberty came up short against the Ole Miss Rebels two weeks ago, falling 27-14. One thing holding Liberty back was the mediocre play of QB Malik Willis, who did not have his best game: despite one touchdown, he threw three interceptions with only 173 yards passing.
The Ragin' Cajuns are expected to lose this next one by 4.5. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last week might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
Louisiana is now 9-1 while the Flames sit at 7-3. A couple defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Louisiana is stumbling into the game with the 158th most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 13 on the season. Liberty has experienced some struggles of their own as they are 163rd worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with 13 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
