Kansas State vs. Baylor Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Kansas State vs. Baylor football game
If the oddsmakers' predictions hold true, the near future looks bright for Kansas State. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Baylor Bears at 3:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Kansas State will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Kansas State fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Texas on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 33-30. The close game was extra heartbreaking for Kansas State, who almost overcame a 20 point deficit.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Will Howard, who threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns. Phillip Brooks was in the mix too, providing Kansas State with two touchdowns.
The Wildcats weren't very productive on the ground and finished the game with only 33 rushing yards. They were smoked by their opponents in that department as Texas rushed for 230.
Meanwhile, the point spread may have favored Baylor last Saturday, but the final result did not. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 25-24 to Houston. Baylor has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Baylor's defeat came about despite a quality game from Blake Shapen, who threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.4% of his passes.
Kansas State's loss dropped their record down to 6-3, while Baylor's bumped their own down to the opposite: 3-6.
In addition to losing their last games, both teams failed to cover the spread. As mentioned, Kansas State is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 20.5 points. Currently 6-2-1 against the spread, they have been a solid investment this season; on the other hand, Baylor is only 2-6-1 ATS.
Everything came up roses for Kansas State against Baylor when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 31-3 victory. Will Kansas State repeat their success, or does Baylor have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
