KAN vs. WVU: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game

Through 3 Quarters

The West Virginia Mountaineers can't call it a day yet, but they are winning as expected. they have a bit of a cushion as they currently lead the Kansas Jayhawks 31-21 after three quarters

RB Leddie Brown has led the way so far for West Virginia, as he has rushed for one TD and 156 yards on 19 carries. The Jayhawks have enjoyed the tag-team combination of WR Luke Grimm and FB Jared Casey. The former has caught three passes for 85 yards, while the latter has snatched one receiving TD.

Kansas has lost 100% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this year, so this one seems just about wrapped up

Who's Playing

West Virginia @ Kansas

Current Records: West Virginia 5-6; Kansas 2-9

What to Know

The Kansas Jayhawks will be returning home after a two-game road trip. Kansas and the West Virginia Mountaineers will face off in a Big 12 battle at 7 p.m. ET Saturday at Kivisto Field at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. West Virginia will be strutting in after a win while the Jayhawks will be stumbling in from a defeat.

It was close but no cigar for Kansas as they fell 31-28 to the TCU Horned Frogs last week. A silver lining for Kansas was the play of QB Jalon Daniels, who passed for two TDs and 255 yards on 30 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 37 yards.

Meanwhile, West Virginia beat the Texas Longhorns 31-23 last week. The Mountaineers' RB Leddie Brown did his thing and rushed for one TD and 158 yards on 33 carries.

The Jayhawks have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 15.50 point spread they are up against. They hadn't treated bettors all too well in the past (they are 3-7), but they might be worth taking a chance on now after beating the spread two games in a row.

Kansas is now 2-9 while West Virginia sits at 5-6. A couple stats to keep an eye on: Kansas is stumbling into the matchup with the 236th most rushing yards allowed per game in the nation, having given up 249.5 on average. The Mountaineers have experienced some struggles of their own as they are 183rd worst in the nation in rushing yards per game, with only 114.5 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
