Iowa State vs. Texas Tech Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Iowa State vs. Texas Tech football game
Game Recap
The Texas Tech Red Raiders had a rough go of it last October when they matched up with the Iowa State Cyclones and had to endure more of the same two weeks ago. Texas Tech took a 31-15 bruising from Iowa State. The Red Raiders haven't found any success against Iowa State since Oct. 10 of 2015, this loss making it five in a row.
Iowa State can attribute much of their success to RB Breece Hall, who rushed for two TDs and 135 yards on 27 carries. QB Brock Purdy had a good game, too, finishing with two touchdowns.
No one had a standout game offensively for Texas Tech, but WR Erik Ezukanma led the way with one touchdown.
Texas Tech's defeat makes it three in a row and drags their record down to 1-3. The victory -- their third in a row -- raised the Cyclones' record to 3-1.
The Red Raiders will take on the West Virginia Mountaineers at 5:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium. Texas Tech hopes being at home will compensate for the 3.5-point spread against them. Iowa State will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium. With a combined 1,109 yards of offense in their previous games, we can expect a fast-paced game.
