Iowa State vs. Texas: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Iowa State vs. Texas football game
Game Recap
The Texas Longhorns weren't able to make up for their loss to the Iowa State Cyclones from their previous meeting last November. Things couldn't have gone much worse for Texas as they lost 30-7 on Saturday. That's the fewest points they have scored all year.
RB Breece Hall continued his habit of dropping crazy stat lines, rushing for two TDs and 136 yards on 19 carries.
Special teams collected 12 points for Iowa State. K Andrew Mevis delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
No one had a standout game offensively for the Longhorns, but they got one touchdown from QB Hudson Card.
Texas has fallen quite a ways from their 7-3 record from last season and are now 4-5. The victory bumped Iowa State's record up to 6-3.
Texas will take on the Kansas Jayhawks at 1 p.m. ET next Saturday at home. Kansas' offense will be looking to get out and run against a Kansas squad that has given up 43 points on average this season. As for the Cyclones, they will go up against the Texas Tech Red Raiders at 1 p.m. ET next Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium. Unlike Iowa State, Texas Tech will be limping in after taking a loss.
