Indiana vs. Rutgers Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Indiana vs. Rutgers football game
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Indiana Hoosiers at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Rutgers is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Rutgers was not the first on the board last Saturday, but they got there more often. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 27-24 victory over Michigan State. The victory was all the more spectacular given Rutgers was down 18 points with 3:41 left in the third quarter.
Among those leading the charge was Kyle Monangai, who rushed for 148 yards and a touchdown. Christian Dremel did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards.
Indiana was no doubt aware that the odds were against they in their matchup with Michigan but that awareness did nothing to prevent the predicted outcome. Indiana was dealt a punishing 52-7 defeat at the hands of Michigan on Saturday. Indiana was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Even if they lost, Indiana's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Lanell Carr Jr. and his two sacks.
Rutgers' win lifted them to 6-2 while Indiana's defeat dropped them down to 2-5.
While only Indiana took care of their fans the last time they played, neither team managed to cover. As for their next game, Rutgers is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by six points. For those looking to play the spread, take note: they are a solid 4-1 against the spread when expected to win.
Rutgers beat Indiana 24-17 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rutgers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
