Indiana vs. Louisville: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Indiana vs. Louisville football game
The Indiana Hoosiers will be playing against the Louisville Cardinals at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium. The pair might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games.
After a disappointing three points in their last game, Indiana made sure to put some points up on the board against Indiana State on Friday. Indiana claimed a resounding 41-7 win over Indiana State at home.
Indiana's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but RB Jaylin Lucas led the charge by rushing for 88 yards and two touchdowns. It was a true group effort though, as the team also got help from QB Tayven Jackson, who threw for 236 yards.
Meanwhile, Louisville got themselves on the board against Murray State on Thursday, but Murray State never followed suit. Louisville took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 56-0 victory over Murray State. The over/under was set at 55.5 points, so nice work oddsmakers; you were right on the money.
RB Jawhar Jordan went supernova for Louisville, rushing for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Jordan's most impressive was a 72 yard score in the second quarter. The team also got some help courtesy of WR Jamari Thrash, who posted 82 yards for a touchdown plus a rushing score.
Indiana will need to dig deep on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They finished last season with a mediocre 4-8 record against the spread, so bettors beware.
That disadvantage in the odds might be especially worrying for Indiana considering the team was a sub-par 1-8 as the underdog last season. A bettor who placed a $100 dollar bet on them to lose every one of the 12 games they played last year would have netted $489.87. On the other hand, Louisville will play as the favorite, and the team was 4-2 as such last season.
