On Saturday, the Navy Midshipmen were out to avenge their 37-21 loss to the Houston Cougars from their previous meeting last October, but they had no such luck. Navy fell to Houston 28-20.
Among those leading the charge for the Cougars was RB Ta'Zhawn Henry, who punched in two rushing touchdowns. Another playmaker for Houston was CB Marcus Jones, who returned a punt 73 yards to the end zone in the first quarter.
No one had a standout game offensively for Navy, but they got one touchdown from QB Xavier Arline.
The defeat dropped Navy's record to 0-3. The win improved Houston's record to 3-1.
The Midshipmen will square off against the UCF Knights at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Jack Stephens Field at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. UCF also suffered a recent loss, falling 42-35 to the Louisville Cardinals last Friday. As for Houston, they will go up against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at 7:30 p.m. ET next Friday at Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium. Like Houston, Tulsa is also coming into the contest bolstered by a recent victory.
