Bowling Green fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game on Saturday as the odds are decidedly against them. They will head out on the road to face off against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at 3:30 p.m. ET at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field. Bowling Green is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Saturday, Bowling Green was pulverized by Ohio 38-7. Bowling Green was in a tough position after the first half, with the score sitting at 31-0.
Terion Stewart put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown. That's the first time this season that Stewart rushed for 100+ rushing yards.
Meanwhile, Georgia Tech gave up the first points last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They enjoyed a cozy 30-16 win over Wake Forest. The success represented a nice turnaround for Georgia Tech who in their last game suffered a tough 48-23 loss.
Georgia Tech's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jamal Haynes, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, and Haynes King, who threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns. While his performance might not make the highlight reel, Aidan Birr made his presence known, having booted in three field goals and three extra points.
Georgia Tech's win bumped their season record to 2-2 while Bowling Green's defeat dropped theirs to 1-3.
