Georgia State vs. Troy updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Georgia State vs. Troy football game
The Georgia State Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Troy Trojans at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Center Parc Stadium. Georgia State is currently enjoying a perfect season, with four straight wins to start things off.
Last Thursday, Georgia State beat Coastal Carolina 30-17.
Marcus Carroll did his thing and rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown. Carroll is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in at least one in the last four games he's played. While his performance might not make the highlight reel, Liam Rickman loomed large in the final result, having booted in three field goals and three extra points.
Meanwhile, Troy gave up the first points last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Western Kentucky and snuck past 27-24. The overall outcome was to be expected, but Troy made it more of a match than the oddsmakers had predicted.
Troy can attribute much of their success to Kimani Vidal, who rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Those are his first two touchdowns of the season. Gunnar Watson also helped out by tossing the rock for 349 yards.
Their wins bumped Georgia State to 4-0 and Troy to 2-2.
Looking ahead, the contest is expected to be close, with Georgia State going off as just a 1.5 point favorite. They might be worth a quick bet since they're covered the spread the last three times they've played.
We should be in store for an exciting game Saturday as both Georgia State and Troy have no problem gaining yardage. The Panthers haven't faced much difficulty moving down the field this season, having averaged 439.8 total yards per game. However, it's not like the Trojans struggle in that department as they've been averaging 416.8 per game.
