Live scores, highlights and updates from the Georgia Southern vs. Louisiana football game
Game Recap
On Saturday, the Georgia Southern Eagles were out to avenge their 20-18 defeat to the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns from their previous meeting last September, but they had no such luck. The Eagles fell to Louisiana 28-20. Georgia Southern hasn't found any success against the Ragin' Cajuns since Nov. 25 of 2017, this loss making it three in a row.
The contest brought Louisiana to 3-1 and dropped Georgia Southern to a mirror-image 1-3.
Georgia Southern will take on the Arkansas State Red Wolves at 4 p.m. ET next Saturday at Allen E. Paulson Stadium. Like Georgia Southern, Arkansas State is looking to wash their mouths of the taste of defeat after falling 41-34 to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Louisiana is staying on the road next Saturday to face off against the South Alabama Jaguars at 8 p.m. ET Oct. 2 at Hancock Whitney Stadium. South Alabama is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 28-21 victory over the Alcorn State Braves last week.
