Florida State vs. NC State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Florida State vs. NC State football game
The NC State Wolfpack and the Florida State Seminoles are even-steven against one another since November of 2015 (3-3), but not for long. The Wolfpack and FSU will face off in an ACC battle at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium. NC State will be strutting in after a win while the Seminoles will be stumbling in from a loss.
The Louisville Cardinals typically have all the answers at home, but last week NC State proved too difficult a challenge. NC State had enough points to win and then some against U of L, taking their contest 28-13. The score was all tied up at the break 7-7, but NC State was the better team in the second half. QB Devin Leary continued his habit of dropping crazy stat lines, passing for four TDs and 317 yards on 36 attempts.
Meanwhile, the Seminoles were hampered by 85 penalty yards against the Clemson Tigers last week. FSU took a 30-20 hit to the loss column. The losing side was boosted by RB Lawrance Toafili, who caught one pass for one TD and 75 yards. Jordan Travis' 75-yard touchdown toss to Toafili in the second quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the afternoon.
This next game is expected to be close, with the Wolfpack going off at just a 2.5-point favorite. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (4-2), so they might be worth a quick bet.
NC State's victory brought them up to 6-2 while the Seminoles' defeat pulled them down to 3-5. Two defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: NC State is 163rd worst in the nation in passing touchdowns allowed, with nine on the season. FSU has experienced some passing struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the matchup with the 214th most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 13 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
