Saturday college football betting preview
South Carolina at Ole Miss, 7 p.m. ET
South Carolina has been put through the gauntlet of the SEC in recent weeks as it prepares to play its fourth ranked team over its last four games. The Gamecocks dropped each of their last three games during that span against LSU, Oklahoma and Alabama, who were all ranked inside the top 15 at the time. South Carolina (3-5, 1-5 SEC) is coming off a 29-22 loss to No. 4 Alabama last week, where the Gamecocks did cover the 11.5-point spread for sports bettors, though.
Ole Miss is No. 7 in the nation and coming off a 34-26 road victory over Oklahoma last weekend as the Rebels return home at 7-1 this season, including 4-1 in the SEC. Senior quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has thrown for more than 250 yards in each of his six starts, and he passed for 315 yards against Oklahoma for his fourth 300-yard passing game. Ole Miss is favored by 12.5 points in the latest Week 10 college football odds at Fanatics Sportsbook, with an over/under set at 55.5 points.
Oklahoma at Tennessee, 7:30 p.m. ET
This top-20 matchup pits the No. 18 Oklahoma Sooners against the No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers in an SEC showdown Saturday night. Both teams are 6-2 overall this season, and the Vols feature the No. 4 quarterback in the nation in passing yards in senior Joey Aguilar. The Appalachian State transfer has thrown for 2,344 yards and 18 touchdowns with six interceptions this season, averaging 293 passing yards per game. He threw for 396 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions in a 56-34 win over Kentucky last week.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma has dropped two of its last three games after opening the season 5-0, which included top-25 wins over Michigan and Auburn. Oklahoma managed just six points against Texas on Oct. 11 and was shut out in the fourth quarter of its 34-26 loss to Ole Miss last week. Tennessee defeated Oklahoma, 25-15, last season, and the Vols are 3-point favorites at Fanatics for Saturday night.
USC at Nebraska, 7:30 p.m. ET
The Trojans are one of the most exciting teams in the country, leading college football in yards (530 yards per game) while ranking second in scoring at 42.4 ppg. USC is third in the nation in passing yards at 326.1 yards per game behind the arm of Jayden Maiava. No. 23 USC is 5-2 this season, including 3-1 in the Big Ten, despite coming off a 34-24 loss to Notre Dame on Oct. 18.
Nebraska is 6-2 overall, including 3-2 in the Big Ten this season. The Cornhuskers are 4-1 at home, but lost their only home game against a ranked team in a 30-27 final to No. 21 Michigan. USC is favored by 4.5 points on Saturday, as Nebraska has covered that number in all five of its home games this season and seven of eight games overall. The over/under is 59 points at Fanatics Sportsbook. Use the latest Fanatics Sportsbook promo code here:
