Eastern Michigan vs. Kent State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Eastern Michigan vs. Kent State football game
The Kent State Golden Flashes will head out on the road to face off against the Eastern Michigan Eagles at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Rynearson Stadium. Kent State is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Kent State gave up the first points and the most points on Saturday. They were the victim of a painful 42-17 defeat at the hands of Ohio. Kent State was down 35-10 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Kent State's loss shouldn't obscure the performance of Chrishon McCray, who picked up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns. That's the first time this season that McCray hauled in two or more receiving touchdowns.
The Golden Flashes had trouble moving the ball and finished the game with only 228 total yards. Kent State is winless (0-5) when they've posted such dismal yardage.
Meanwhile, Eastern Michigan didn't have too much trouble with Ball State at home on Saturday as they won 24-10.
Eastern Michigan's victory bumped their season record to 3-3 while Kent State's loss dropped theirs to 1-5.
Kent State is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. For those looking to play the spread, watch out: Kent State is playing as the underdog, but their 1-4 record against the spread as such isn't exactly encouraging.
Kent State came up short against Eastern Michigan in their previous meeting last November, falling 31-24.
