Duke vs. North Carolina State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Duke vs. NC State football game
North Carolina State has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Duke Blue Devils at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. North Carolina State will be strutting in after a victory while Duke will be stumbling in from a defeat.
After a disappointing ten points in their last match, North Carolina State made sure to put some points up on the board against Marshall on Saturday. North Carolina State walked away with a 48-41 win over Marshall. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for 23 points.
North Carolina State got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kevin Concepcion out in front who picked up 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Trent Pennix was another key contributor, picking up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
After a string of six wins dating back to last season, Duke's good fortune finally ran out two Saturdays ago. They fell 21-14 to Notre Dame. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Duke in their matchups with Notre Dame: they've now lost three in a row.
North Carolina State is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. With their first loss of the season, Duke fell to 4-1.
North Carolina State is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. This contest might not be the best time to bet them against the spread since they've let bettors down the last five times they've played.
