Connecticut vs. Syracuse updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Connecticut vs. Syracuse football game
The Connecticut Huskies will stay at home another week and welcome the Syracuse Orange at 7 p.m. ET Sept. 10 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
The Huskies made easy work of the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils last week and carried off a 28-3 win.
'Cuse decided to play defense against itself last week, but the team still came out ahead despite their 87 penalty yards. They blew past the Louisville Cardinals 31-7. QB Garrett Shrader had a stellar game for the Orange as he passed for two TDs and 237 yards on 25 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 95 yards. Shrader's 55-yard touchdown toss to RB Sean Tucker in the first quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the night.
Their wins bumped UConn to 1-1 and 'Cuse to 1-0. Both UConn and 'Cuse have easy wins in recent memory. We'll see which one's ego takes a hit when they face off.
