Colorado vs. USC: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Colorado vs. USC football game
The USC Trojans are 5-0 against the Colorado Buffaloes since November of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Trojans and Colorado will face off in a Pac-12 battle at 2 p.m. ET at Folsom Field. USC won't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy a 7.5-point advantage in the spread.
The matchup between USC and the Oregon State Beavers last week was not a total blowout, but with USC falling 45-27 at home, it was darn close to turning into one. What made the loss an especially bitter pill for USC to swallow was that they had been favored by 11 points coming into the game. QB Kedon Slovis had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: despite one touchdown, he threw three interceptions and fumbled the ball once. That was the first 300+ yard effort for Slovis this season.
Meanwhile, the oddsmakers predicted a rough contest for the Buffaloes last week, and boy were they were right. They suffered a grim 35-13 defeat to the Arizona State Sun Devils. Colorado's only offensive touchdown came from RB Alex Fontenot.
The losses put the Trojans at 2-2 and Colorado at 1-3. Two offensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: USC is stumbling into the game with the 179th fewest rushing yards per game in the nation, having accrued only 117.3 on average. The Buffaloes have experienced some struggles of their own as they are 242nd worst in the nation in passing yards per game, with only 85 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
