Colorado vs. Oregon State: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Colorado vs. Oregon State football game
Colorado will be in front of their home fans on Saturday, but a look at the spread shows they might need that home-field advantage. They will take on the Oregon State Beavers at 10:00 p.m. ET on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Colorado started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against UCLA. They took a 28-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins on Saturday. Colorado has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed ten in total. All those points came courtesy of Alejandro Mata: he added nine points with three field goals, and another on an extra-point kick.
The Buffaloes weren't very productive on the ground and finished the game with only 25 rushing yards. They were smoked by their opponents in that department as UCLA rushed for 218.
Meanwhile, the point spread may have favored Oregon State last Saturday, but the final result did not. They fell just short of Arizona by a score of 27-24. Oregon State's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
DJ Uiagalelei put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns.
Colorado has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Oregon State, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
In addition to losing their last games, the pair failed to cover the spread. Looking ahead, Oregon State shouldn't be too worried about this matchup, as the experts have them favored by 13 points. This contest will be their ninth straight as the favorites (so far over this stretch they are 5-3 against the spread).
Colorado was dealt a punishing 42-9 defeat at the hands of Oregon State in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will Colorado have more luck at home instead of on the road?
