Colorado State vs. San Jose State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Colorado State vs. San Jose State football game
The Colorado State Rams will be returning home after a two-game road trip. They will take on the San Jose State Spartans at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Canvas Stadium after a week off. SJSU should still be riding high after a win, while the Rams will be looking to right the ship.
Colorado State came up short against the Iowa Hawkeyes two weeks ago, falling 24-14. The losing side was boosted by QB Todd Centeio, who passed for one TD and 155 yards on 30 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 31 yards.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, SJSU beat the New Mexico State Aggies 37-31 last week. SJSU QB Nick Nash was slinging it as he passed for three TDs and 195 yards on 17 attempts. Nash had some trouble finding his footing against the Western Michigan Broncos two weeks ago, so this was a step in the right direction.
This next game is expected to be close, with Colorado State going off at just a 2.5-point favorite. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a two-game streak of ATS wins.
Colorado State is now 1-3 while the Spartans sit at 3-2. Two defensive stats to keep an eye on: The Rams are 159th worst in the nation in passing yards allowed per game, with 239 on average. SJSU has experienced some passing struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the contest with the 190th most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up eight on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
