Colorado State vs. Nevada updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday

Halftime Report

Only two more quarters stand between Colorado State and the victory they were favored to collect coming into this afternoon. Sitting on a score of 20-13, they have looked like the better team, but there's still two more quarters to play.

If Colorado State keeps playing like this, they'll bump their record up to 4-6 in no time. On the other hand, Nevada will have to make due with a 2-8 record unless they turn things around (and fast).

Preview

The Colorado State Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Nevada Wolf Pack at 3:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Canvas Stadium. Colorado State will be strutting in after a win while Nevada will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Colorado State can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-19 win over San Diego State.

Colorado State's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Marshall, who rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown. Colorado State also got help from Justus Ross-Simmons who showed off his sure hands for 89 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Nevada lost to Utah State on the road by a decisive 41-24 margin on Saturday. Nevada has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The losing side was boosted by AJ Bianco, who threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Sean Dollars, who rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown.

Colorado State's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Nevada, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

While only Colorado State took care of their fans the last time they played, neither team managed to cover. Going forward, Colorado State is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 11 points. This contest might not be the best time to bet them against the spread since they've let bettors down the last three times they've played.

Colorado State came out on top in a nail-biter against Nevada when the teams last played back in October of 2022, sneaking past 17-14. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Nevada's Toa Taua, who rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns. Now that he won't be playing on Saturday, will it be that much easier for Colorado State to walk away with another win? Check CBSSports.com after the match to find out.
