Live scores, highlights and updates from the Colorado State vs. Boise State football game
Game Recap
On Saturday, the Colorado State Rams were out to avenge their 52-21 loss to the Boise State Broncos from their previous meeting last November, but they had no such luck. The Rams fell to Boise State 28-19. Colorado State was up 13 to nothing at the end of the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.
Boise State QB Hank Bachmeier was slinging it as he passed for three TDs and 253 yards on 32 attempts. Near the top of the highlight reel was Bachmeier's 51-yard TD bomb to TE Tyneil Hopper in the fourth quarter. WR Octavius Evans also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.
Despite the defeat, the Rams got a solid performance out of QB Todd Centeio, who passed for one TD and 276 yards on 36 attempts in addition to picking up 65 yards on the ground.
The loss dropped Colorado State's record to 3-5. The win got Boise State back to even at 4-4.
Colorado State will square off against the Wyoming Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium. Colorado State is 2-2 after losses this year, Wyoming 0-3. Boise State is on the road again next Saturday and plays against the Fresno State Bulldogs at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 6 at Bulldog Stadium. Fresno State is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 7 to nothing victory over the San Diego State Aztecs on Saturday.
