College football scores, NCAA top 25 rankings, Week 14: Notre Dame grabs key win, Texas A&M keeps rolling
NCAA football scores and highlights from the teams in action during Week 14 of the 2020 season
No. 2 Notre Dame reached a level of security on Saturday in a 45-21 win over Syracuse that no other team in the top six of the College Football Playoff Rankings can claim just yet. With their win, the Fighting Irish (10-0) ensured that they will have a maximum of one loss when the CFP selection committee reveals its final choices on Dec. 20. That's because the only game left on the Fighting Irish's schedule now is a rematch with No. 3 Clemson (who Notre Dame beat last month) in the ACC title game.
No. 1 Alabama and No. 4 Ohio State are also undefeated, but each have a regular season game left in addition to games during conference championship week, while No. 3 Clemson, No. 5 Texas A&M and No. 6 Florida each already have a loss. The Aggies were the only team among the top six to truly be challenged on Saturday, but they rose to the occasion against Auburn in a 31-20 victory by scoring 17 unanswered points to close the game.
Texas A&M racked up 509 yards of total offense, including 313 on the ground, as it improved to 7-1 with games against Ole Miss and Tennessee still ahead as the race for CFP positioning grinds on into mid-December after another action-packed week of college football.

What happened to the Big 12. This would have been a 62-41 game a few seasons ago.
You're a mean one
Mr. Alex Grinch is doing a good job coordinating Oklahoma's defense tonight. Both teams still have less than 200 total yards entering the fourth quarter.
Cal upset!
The Bears have had a frustrating 0-3 start, but the Bears pull an upset tonight with a great defensive effort against Oregon. Second loss of the year for Oregon, which leaves USC and Colorado as the only undefeated teams. Oddly enough, both are in the Pac-12 South and are not scheduled to play each other.
Sooners booming
After a sluggish start, No. 11 Oklahoma is now in firm command against Baylor.
But really
Why is one-loss Miami behind two-loss Iowa State and two-loss Georgia in the CFP rankings? 'Canes are rolling tonight and can make a statement next week against UNC. It's like the whole CFB universe just forgot about this team after it lost to Clemson.
Tight finish
If Alabama and Clemson wrecking overmatched opponents is getting boring, turn your attention to the Pac-12, where No. 23 Oregon trails winless Cal 21-17 with 7:26 left. Ducks getting the ball back deep in their own territory.
More Pac-12 weirdness
Colorado is on the cusp of improving to 4-0 under first-year coach Karl Dorrell. The Buffs are up 21-13 on Arizona in the fourth quarter. Not done yet, but would be a remarkable story for a team that no one expected to be any good.
Sooners in a fight
Oklahoma is up against a gamely 2-5 Baylor squad tonight but finally got a TD late in the first half.
Pac-12 weirdness
0-3 Cal is up 21-17 on No. 23 Oregon and has the football late in the third.
Disrespecting the U
Miami's only loss is to Clemson, but the 'Canes are just No. 10 in the CFP rankings. Kinda disrespectful when they've got playmakers like this. Up 14-0 on Duke.
Wow!
Coastal Carolina pulls it off in dramatic fashion. Unbelievable game.
Bearing down
Oklahoma leads Baylor just 3-0 early in the second quarter. Seems the Bears' defense came to play.
