Georgia Tech is 0-8 against Clemson since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to face off against the Clemson Tigers at 12:00 p.m. ET at Memorial Stadium. Clemson is favored, but seeing as the odds didn't stop Georgia Tech in their last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.
Georgia Tech gave up the first points last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They steamrolled past Virginia 45-17 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Georgia Tech.
Haynes King continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 83 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 208 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.7% of his passes. Dontae Smith was another key contributor, gaining 113 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Clemson earned a 31-23 victory over Notre Dame on Saturday.
Among those leading the charge was Phil Mafah, who rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 5-4.
Clemson and Georgia Tech pleased both fans and bettors in their last games by winning and covering the spread.
