The Towson Tigers will hit the road to start this year's campaign against the Cincinnati Bearcats. Kickoff is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Nippert Stadium.
Looking back to last season, Towson finished on the wrong side of .500 (5-6), but they'll be hoping to turn things around this year. Similarly, Cincinnati finished with a dismal 3-9 record.
Towson is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. They finished last season with a 7-4 record against the spread.
Towson is expected to start their campaign with a win, and the team was an even 1-1 as the favorite last season. Betting on them to win was the most profitable play last year, as bettors who put $100 on that outcome in every game walked away with $902.32. The disadvantage in the odds might be especially worrying for Cincinnati considering the team was a sub-par 2-6 as the underdog last season.
