Central Carolina vs. Jacksonville State: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Coastal Carolina vs. Jacksonville State football game
The Central Carolina Chanticleers will be playing at home against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Brooks Stadium.
Central Carolina kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 27-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of UCLA.
The losing side was boosted by WR Sam Pinckney, who scored a touchdown off of 139 receiving yards. Pinckney's longest reception was for 52 yards. On the other side of the line, CB Keonte Lusk was a menace on defense and made a total of five tackles.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you score seven more touchdowns than the other team, a fact Jacksonville State proved on Saturday. They put a hurting on ETSU at home to the tune of 49-3. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Jacksonville State had established a 39 point advantage.
Looking ahead, Central Carolina is the favorite in this one, and the experts expect to see them win by 13 points. They finished last season with a mediocre 4-9 record against the spread, so bettors beware.
While the Chanticleers is hoping for a better result this time, the Gamecocks is hoping to keep the momentum going. Check CBS Sports after the game to see if Central Carolina succeed or if Jacksonville State can keep it going.
