California vs. Nevada: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the California vs. Nevada football game
Game Recap
The Nevada Wolf Pack didn't have too much breathing room in their game with the California Golden Bears on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 22-17 victory. The win came about thanks to a strong surge after the first quarter to overcome a 14 to nothing deficit.
No one had a standout game offensively for the Wolf Pack, but they got scores from WR Romeo Doubs and WR Elijah Cooks.
Special teams collected ten points for Nevada. K Brandon Talton delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
Despite the loss, the Golden Bears got a solid performance out of RB Damien Moore, who punched in one rushing touchdown.
The matchup pushed California down to 0-1 and pulled Nevada up to the reverse at 1-0.
Nevada will take on the Idaho State Bengals at 10:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Clarence Mackay Stadium. Unlike Nevada, Idaho State will be stumbling in off of a defeat. As for California, they will go up against the TCU Horned Frogs at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium. If the 10-7 final from the last time they met is any indication, this contest will be decided by the defense.
