Boston College vs. Pittsburgh: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Boston College vs. Pittsburgh football game
Game Recap
The Pittsburgh Panthers missed a PAT kick in overtime against the Boston College Eagles two weeks ago, and it came back to haunt them. It could have gone either way late during winning time for Pitt or BC, but it was the Eagles snatching the 31-30 victory. That's two games in a row now that Pitt have lost by one point.
WR Zay Flowers had a stellar game for BC as he caught six passes for three TDs and 162 yards. One of the most thrilling moments was Flowers' 77-yard TD reception in the third quarter. QB Phil Jurkovec had a good game, too, finishing with four touchdowns.
Despite the defeat, Pitt got a solid performance out of QB Kenny Pickett, who passed for two TDs and 266 yards on 48 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 36 yards.
This is the second loss in a row for the Panthers and nudges their record down to 3-2. The win improved the Eagles' record to 3-1.
Pitt is on the road again last week and plays against the Miami (FL) Hurricanes at noon ET Oct. 17 at Hard Rock Stadium. Pitt will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for BC, they will go up against the Virginia Tech Hokies at 8 p.m. ET last week at Lane Stadium/Worsham Field. Unlike BC, Virginia Tech will be stumbling in off of a loss.
