Game Recap
The Utah State Aggies weren't able to make up for their defeat to the Boise State Broncos from their previous meeting last November. Utah State suffered a grim 42-13 defeat to Boise State on Saturday. The Aggies haven't found any success against Boise State since Oct. 16 of 2015, this loss making it five in a row.
Boise State's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but WR Khalil Shakir led the charge as he caught seven passes for two TDs and 123 yards. One of the most thrilling moments was Shakir's 52-yard TD reception in the second quarter. RB George Holani also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.
A silver lining for Utah State was the play of RB Jaylen Warren, who punched in two rushing touchdowns.
The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
The Aggies will square off against the San Diego State Aztecs at 2 p.m. ET next Saturday at Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium. As for the Broncos, they will face off against the Air Force Falcons at 2 p.m. ET next Saturday at Falcon Stadium.
