Boise State vs. Nevada: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Boise State vs. Nevada football game
The Nevada Wolf Pack should come into this matchup well-rested after a week off from action. Nevada and the Boise State Broncos will face off in a Mountain West battle at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Albertsons Stadium. Boise State will be strutting in after a victory while the Wolf Pack will be stumbling in from a loss.
Nevada suffered a grim 38-17 defeat to the Kansas State Wildcats two weeks ago. It was supposed to be a close game, and Nevada was supposed to come out on top, but neither of those things ended up happening. QB Carson Strong wasn't much of a difference maker for Nevada; Strong threw one interception.
Meanwhile, the Broncos made easy work of the Utah State Aggies last week and carried off a 27-3 win. Boise State QB Hank Bachmeier was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 288 yards on 40 attempts in addition to picking up 44 yards on the ground. Bachmeier hadn't helped his team much against the Oklahoma State Cowboys two weeks ago, so this was a nice turnaround for him.
The Wolf Pack are now 2-1 while Boise State sits at 2-2. Two offensive stats to keep an eye on: Nevada is stumbling into the matchup with the 227th fewest rushing yards per game in the nation, having accrued only 77 on average. Boise States have had an even harder time: they are 215th worst in the nation in rushing yards per game, with only 87.5 on average. Yards on the ground might be a real commodity in this one.
