Baylor vs. Texas updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Baylor vs. Texas football game
Baylor will be in front of their home fans on Saturday, but a look at the spread shows they might need that home-field advantage. They will take on the Texas Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Baylor took their victory against LIU by a conclusive 30-7. Baylor pushed the score to 23-7 by the end of the third, a deficit LIU had little chance of recovering from.
Dawson Pendergrass and RB Richard Reese were among the main playmakers for Baylor as the former rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown and the latter rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns. On the other side of the line, LB Byron Vaughns wouldn't leave the quarterback alone and laid him out two times before the game was over.
Meanwhile, Texas' match against Wyoming on Saturday was close at halftime, but Texas turned on the heat in the second half with 21 points. Texas put the hurt on Wyoming with a sharp 31-10 loss.
Texas relied on the efforts of RB Jonathon Brooks, who rushed for 164 yards. Brooks was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards.
While fans of Texas and Baylor were happy after their last outing, their bettors probably weren't as neither team covered. Looking ahead, Texas are the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 15 points. Be careful betting them against the spread as while they're 1-2 ATS overall, they're only 1-4 against Baylor in their most recent matchups.
Baylor came up short against Texas in their previous matchup last November, falling 38-27. Will Baylor have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the matchup or check back on CBS Sports to find out.
