Live scores, highlights and updates from the Baylor vs. Kansas football game
Game Recap
The Baylor Bears won the last time they faced the Kansas Jayhawks, and things went their way on Saturday, too. The Bears put the hurt on Kansas with a sharp 47-14 victory. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Baylor had established a 31-7 advantage.
Baylor RB Trestan Ebner looked sharp as he punched in one rushing touchdown in addition to snatching one receiving TD.
Baylor defense was a presence as well, as it got past Kansas offensive line to sack the quarterback four times for a loss of 17 yards. Leading the way was LB Terrel Bernard and his 2.5 sacks. Those were the first sacks for Bernard through Week 4.
A silver lining for the Jayhawks was the play of RB Pooka Williams Jr., who punched in two rushing touchdowns.
The win bumped the Bears record up to 1-0. This is the second loss in a row for Kansas and nudges their record down to 0-2.
Baylor will square off against the West Virginia Mountaineers at noon ET next Saturday at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium. West Virginia took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Baylor's good fortune. Kansas will be playing at home against the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday.
