They have emerged as the frontrunner after one quarter and are ahead of the Georgia Southern Eagles 14-3. Arkansas State has come by their advantage honestly, as they have outgained Georgia Southern 198 yards to 115.
The Red Wolves have been riding high on the performance of WR Jonathan Adams Jr., who so far has caught four passes for 132 yards. Layne Hatcher's 63-yard touchdown toss to Adams Jr. in the first quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the afternoon.
