Army West Point vs. Miami (OH): Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Army West Point vs. Miami (OH) football game
The Army West Point Black Knights have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the Miami (OH) RedHawks at noon ET Sept. 25 at Blaik Field at Michie Stadium. These two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
When you finish with 279 more yards than your opponent like Army did last week, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They blew past the Connecticut Huskies 52-21. With the Black Knights ahead 42 to nothing at the half, the matchup was all but over already. They can attribute much of their success to QB Christian Anderson, who passed for one TD and 70 yards on two attempts in addition to punching in two rushing touchdowns, and RB Tyrell Robinson, who punched in one rushing touchdown. That touchdown -- a 70-yard rush in the second quarter -- was one of the highlights of the game.
A well-balanced attack led Miami (OH) over the LIU-Post Sharks every single quarter on their way to victory last week. Miami (OH) was completely in charge, breezing past LIU-Post 42-7 at home. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Miami (OH) had established a 35-7 advantage.
The wins brought the Black Knights up to 3-0 and the RedHawks to 1-2. A pair of defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Army is 168th worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with five on the season. Miami (OH) has experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the game with the 220th most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up seven on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
