Arizona vs. UTEP: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Arizona vs. UTEP football game
The UTEP Miners will head out on the road to face off against the Arizona Wildcats at 11:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Arizona Stadium. UTEP is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
UTEP's game on Saturday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly it didn't stay that way. They was pulverized by Northwestern 38-7.
Meanwhile, Arizona fought the good fight in their overtime game against Mississippi State on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. Arizona took a 31-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mississippi State.
Arizona's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of WR Tetairoa McMillan, who scored a touchdown off of 161 receiving yards, and QB Jayden de Laura who threw for 342 yards and two touchdowns on 46 attempts. McMillan's got a big chunk of his yards on one 55-yard play. WR Jacob Cowing also helped out by posting a receiving touchdown.
Even though they lost, the Wildcats dominated in the air and finished the game with 340 passing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mississippi State only threw for 162.
In addition to losing their last games, both Arizona and UTEP failed to cover the spread. Looking ahead, Arizona shouldn't be too worried about this matchup, as the experts have them favored by 17.5 points. They finished last season with an even 6-6 record against the spread.
The losses dropped the Miners to 1-2 and the Wildcats to 1-1. Check back to see which team is able to work their way back into the win column.
