Arizona State vs. Oregon updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Arizona State vs. Oregon football game
1st Quarter Report
Oregon is on the board, but we're still waiting on Arizona State to respond. Oregon has a bit of a cushion as they currently lead Arizona State 21-0. This match looks nothing like the tight 31-28 margin from Oregon's win over Arizona State in their previous head-to-head back in November of 2019.
Oregon already has six blowout wins this season, but why stop there? Barring a freak comeback, they will be celebrating another huge win in the locker room very soon.
Preview
Oregon has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Arizona State Sun Devils at 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Mountain America Stadium. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
We saw a pretty high 78-over/under line set for Oregon's previous matchup, but the actual score was more down to earth. They came out on top against USC by a score of 36-27 on Saturday.
It was another big night for Bo Nix, who threw for 412 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.2% of his passes. Bucky Irving and his 118 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Oregon's win.
Meanwhile, Arizona State beat UCLA 17-7 on Saturday. The win was just what Arizona State needed coming off of a 55-3 loss in their prior match.
Elijhah Badger and Cam Skattebo were among the main playmakers for Arizona State as the former picked up 116 receiving yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Oregon pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.9 points per game. As for Arizona State, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.
Looking forward, the game looks promising for Oregon, as the team is favored by a full 23.5 points. For those looking to play the spread, take note: they are a solid 7-2 against the spread when expected to win.
