Alabama vs. Arkansas updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Alabama vs. Arkansas football game
Arkansas is 0-8 against Alabama since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The pair will face off in an SEC West battle at 12:00 p.m. ET at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Arkansas is limping into the match on a four-game losing streak.
Arkansas might've scored the first points on Saturday, but it was Ole Miss who claimed the real prize. Arkansas fell 27-20 to Ole Miss.
The losing side was boosted by Ty Washington, who picked up 90 receiving yards and two touchdowns. KJ Jefferson also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Alabama had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four. They secured a 26-20 W over Texas A&M on Saturday.
Jermaine Burton was the offensive standout of the contest as he picked up 197 receiving yards and two touchdowns. That's the first time this season that Burton posted 100 or more yards. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Bond, who picked up 96 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Alabama's win bumped their season record to 5-1 while Arkansas' loss dropped theirs to 2-4.
While only Alabama took care of their fans the last time they played, both teams pleased bettors by covering the spread. Looking ahead, they are the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 20 points. They might be worth a quick bet since they've covered the spread the last three times they've played Arkansas.
Arkansas might still be hurting after the devastating 49-26 defeat walloping they got from Alabama when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Arkansas, Jahmyr Gibbs (who rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
