Air Force vs. Navy: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Air Force vs. Navy football game
Game Recap
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for the Air Force Falcons on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 40-7 margin over the Navy Midshipmen. For the Falcons, this is just revenge for the 34-25 defeat they suffered against Navy the last time they faced one another on Oct. 5 of last year.
Air Force relied on the efforts of RB Joshua Stoner, who rushed for one TD and 103 yards on ten carries, and QB Haaziq Daniels, who accumulated 41 passing yards in addition to rushing for one TD and 96 yards. Air Force also got a significant boost from FB Timothy Jackson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 118 yards.
Special teams collected 16 points for Air Force. K Tevye Schuettpelz-Rohl delivered a perfect 4-for-4 game.
No one had a standout game offensively for Navy, but RB Myles Fells led the way with one touchdown. Near the top of the highlight reel was Tyger Goslin's 73-yard TD bomb to Fells in the second quarter.
The game evens up both teams records, with the Falcons at 0-0 and the Midshipmen at 1-1.
Air Force will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against the San Jose State Spartans at 3 p.m. ET in three weeks at CEFCU Stadium. Navy will take on the Temple Owls at 6 p.m. ET next Saturday at home.
