Game Recap
On Saturday, the Air Force Falcons turned the game against the Florida Atlantic Owls into a track meet and took the gold after outgaining them 516 yards to 219. The Falcons made easy work of Florida Atlantic and carried off a 31-7 victory. For Air Force, this is just revenge for the 33-27 loss they suffered against the Owls the last time they faced one another on Sept. 8 of 2018.
Air Force's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 24 points in the first half. Florida Atlantic wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 24-7 heading into the break. The Air Force defense was impenetrable in the third quarter, shutting them out and essentially clinching the game.
QB Haaziq Daniels had a stellar game for Air Force as he accumulated 70 passing yards in addition to rushing for two TDs and 164 yards. Daniels put himself on the highlight reel with a 94-yard TD scramble in the first quarter.
The Owls' only offensive touchdown came on a rush from QB N'Kosi Perry.
The win improved the Falcons' record to 3-1. The loss dropped Florida Atlantic back to even at 2-2.
Air Force will square off against the New Mexico Lobos at 6:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Dreamstyle Stadium. Unlike Air Force, New Mexico will be stumbling in off of a defeat. Florida Atlantic will take on the FIU Panthers at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at home. Like the Owls, FIU is looking to wash their mouths of the taste of defeat after falling 31-27 to the Central Michigan Chippewas.
