Air Force vs. Boise State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Air Force vs. Boise State football game
Game Recap
The Air Force Falcons weren't able to make up for their loss to the Boise State Broncos from their previous meeting last September. The game between them on Saturday was not particularly close, with Air Force falling 49-30. They haven't found any success against Boise State since Nov. 25 of 2016, this defeat making it four in a row.
QB Jack Sears hadn't helped the Broncos' cause all that much against the Utah State Aggies last week, but the same can't be said for this matchup. Sears had a stellar game for Boise State as he passed for three TDs and 280 yards on 20 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 36 yards. Sears' 75-yard touchdown toss to WR CT Thomas in the first quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the evening. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget CB Avery Williams, who went all the way with a kickoff return for touchdown in the fourth quarter?
The losing side was boosted by WR Brandon Lewis, who rushed for one TD and 112 yards on ten carries.
This is the second loss in a row for Air Force and nudges their record down to 1-2. The win makes it two in a row for Boise State and bumps their record up to 2-0.
The Falcons will square off against the Army West Point Black Knights at 11:30 a.m. ET next Saturday at Blaik Field at Michie Stadium. Air Force will need a sterling offensive performance if they want to penetrate an unbending defense that has allowed an average of only 11.71 points per game. As for the Broncos, they will face off against the BYU Cougars at 9:45 p.m. ET next Friday at Albertsons Stadium.
