- As CBSSports.com's Bruce Feldman first reported Monday, Florida State DE Brandon Jenkins will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury. The Seminoles confirmed the news on Monday night, wrote Coley Harvey of the Orlando Sentinel.
- Miami freshman RB Duke Johnson gave college football a wake-up call Saturday at Boston College, according to Susan Miller Degnan of The Miami Herald. Johnson ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns on just seven carries in Miami's 41-32 win over the Eagles.
- Here are three Georgia Tech thoughts after Monday's 20-17 overtime loss at Virginia Tech from Mark Bradley of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. According to Bradley, the defense did its job for the first 59 minutes and 16 seconds of the game.
- Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris liked what he saw from his unit in Saturday's 26-19 win over Auburn. Clemson rolled up 524 yards of total offense. However, he also sees room for improvement, wrote Greg Wallace of the Anderson Independent-Mail.
- NC State announced Monday that CB C.J. Wilson will serve a four-game suspension, according to Joe Giglio of the News & Observer in Raleigh. Coach Tom O'Brien said that Wilson did not pass enough credit hours in the spring semester.
