  • Knicks' Tosan Evbuomwan: Inks two-way deal with New York

Evbuomwan agreed to a two-way contract with the Knicks on Tuesday, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports.

Evbuomwan was initially announced as an Exhibit 10 signing, though he's now set to join New York on a two-way pact. The 24-year-old forward signed a two-way deal with the Nets in January before being waived in August. Over 28 regular-season appearances with Brooklyn last season, he averaged 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 23.8 minutes per game.

  • Knicks' Tosan Evbuomwan: Signs contract with Knicks

Evbuomwan agreed to a deal with the Knicks on Monday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

After spending last year with the Nets, Evbuomwan will now join Brooklyn's crosstown rivals in New York ahead of training camp. The 24-year-old swingman made 28 NBA appearances last season, averaging 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 23.8 minutes per game, though he could be set to compete for a two-way spot for the Knicks this fall.

  • Tosan Evbuomwan: Waived by Brooklyn

The Nets waived Evbuomwan on Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Evbuomwan made 28 appearances for Brooklyn last season, averaging 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 23.8 minutes per game. Evbuomwan also spent most of the first half of last year in the G League, so perhaps he'll search for an Exhibit 10 deal with another club ahead of the new campaign.

  • Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Five swipes in SL win

Evbuomwan chipped in 14 points (4-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five steals, four rebounds, one assist and one block across 28 minutes in Wednesday's 94-90 Summer League win over the Magic.

Evbuomwan sat out the past two games with a hip contusion but returned Wednesday to join Danny Wolf and Egor Demin as one of three Nets starters to reach double figures. His next chance to play will come Friday against the 76ers.

  • Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Posts decent line in SL

Evbuomwan finished with 13 points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block across 24 minutes during Thursday's 90-81 Summer League loss to the Thunder.

Evbuomwan turned in a balanced final line, doing so by shooting with efficiency while exerting effort on the glass and as a distributor. However, he also struggled to take care of the basketball, leading his team with five turnovers.

  • Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Sees 20 minutes in finale

Evbuomwan closed Sunday's 113-105 loss to New York with two points (0-1 FG, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one steal over 20 minutes.

With the Nets undergoing a rebuild and the team battling multiple injuries, Evbuomwan stepped into a sizable role for most of the regular season. He made 28 total appearances, posting averages of 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.4 blocks and 0.9 three-pointers on 42.7 percent from the field and 31.2 percent from the line. Evbuomwan will enter the final year of his two-way contract with the Nets in 2025-26.

  • Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Scores in double figures

Evbuomwan had 13 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Thursday's 105-90 loss to Minnesota.

Evbuomwan scored in double figures Thursday for the first time since Feb. 5. The 24-year-old has spent most of the second half of the season in the G League but saw significant playing time due to Cameron Johnson (back), Jalen Wilson (ankle) and Ziaire Williams (rest) being out. With injuries piling up and the season nearing a close for the Nets, Evbuomwan could continue to see the floor.

  • Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Productive off bench

Evbuomwan notched 15 points (5-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in 29 minutes during Monday's 110-96 loss to the Kings.

Evbuomwan snapped out of a brutal slump with this performance. In his previous four games, Evbuomwan was held to single-digit points in each game while shooting a combined 7-of-32 from the field. With the Nets so shorthanded, Evbuomwan is a name to watch in case he can string together a few good performances.

  • Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Scores five points in loss

Evbuomwan ended with five points (1-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds and one assist in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 99-95 loss to New York.

Cameron Johnson appeared to suffer an injury during Tuesday's 99-95 loss to the Knicks, and he may be held out Wednesday against the Suns. The Nets are pretty shorthanded right now, so Evbuomwan could be a candidate for increased run. In 10 appearances for the Nets, Evbuomwan has fared well with 10.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.8 three-pointers on 51.7 percent shooting from the field.

  • Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Sets new career-high scoring mark

Evbuomwan accumulated 22 points (7-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-9 FT), five rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes during Sunday's 112-111 overtime loss to the Jazz.

Evbuomwan turned more than a few heads with his play Sunday, as he led the Nets in scoring despite coming off the bench while missing just one of his eight shots from the field. This was a new career-high mark by a wide margin, and he's also scored in double digits in his last three outings, so he might be in line for an uptick in playing time in the coming weeks given Brooklyn's depleted roster.

  • Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Joins Brooklyn on two-way deal

Evbuomwan and the Nets agreed to a two-way contract Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Evbuomwan previously saw NBA action in 17 games as a rookie in 2023-24, averaging 5.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 21.6 minutes per contest between stops with Memphis and Detroit. He's been a standout performer thus far in the G League with the San Diego Clippers, appearing in 16 contests while averaging 18.4 points in 32.6 minutes per contest and shooting 51.9 percent from the field. The 6-foot-7 forward will occupy one of the Nets' three two-way slots and could end up being a factor in Brooklyn's rotation at some point this season, but most of his initial playing time in his new organization is likely to come with the G League's Long Island Nets.

  • Tosan Evbuomwan: Cut by Clippers

  • Clippers' Tosan Evbuomwan: Inks deal with LAC

Evbuomwan was signed by the Clippers on Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

The details of the signing are unknown, but Evbuomwan could be a candidate to take the club's final two-way spot. The 23-year-old was waived by the Pistons on Wednesday, and in his rookie season with Detroit and Memphis he averaged 5.9 points and 3.5 rebounds across 21.6 minutes per game in 17 regular-season outings.

  • Tosan Evbuomwan: Cut by Detroit

The Pistons waived Evbuomwan on Wednesday, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.

Detroit now has two two-way slots available after cutting Evbuomwan, a second-year forward out of Princeton. Evbuomwan had previously signed 10-day deals with Memphis and Detroit last season before the Pistons upgraded him to a two-way deal in February. Between his two stops, Evbuomwan appeared in 17 games (eight starts) and averaged 5.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 21.6 minutes. If he doesn't land a two-way deal with another organization before the start of the NBA season, Evbuomwan shouldn't have much trouble finding work in the G League.

  • Pistons' Tosan Evbuomwan: Ineligible for finale

Pistons head coach Monty Williams confirmed last week that Evbuomwan isn't eligible to play again this season, as the rookie forward has already reached the limit of games in which he can be active as a two-way player, Motown Lowdown reports.

Two-way players prior to the start of the season are eligible to be active for up to 50 of a team's 82 regular-season games at the NBA level, but the number of active games becomes prorated if a player is signed to a two-way deal in-season. After initially joining Detroit on a 10-day deal, Evbuomwan didn't sign his two-way deal with the Pistons until Feb. 23, after which he appeared in 10 of Detroit's subsequent 22 games while averaging 7.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.8 three-pointers in 23.8 minutes per game. He's proceeded to sit out each of Detroit's last four games with a "G League assignment" designation on the official injury report, even though the Pistons' affiliate, the Motor City Cruise, had its season end March 29. Evbuomwan will remain out for Sunday's season finale in San Antonio, but he'll remain on Detroit's books through the 2024-25 campaign, since the two-way deal he signed in February was a two-year contract.
