Heat's Jahmir Young: Impresses in bench role
Young registered 18 points (6-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and three steals in 32 minutes during Sunday's 120-104 preseason loss to Orlando.
Young looked sharp on the offensive end and finished second on his squad in scoring on a night where a handful of key starters received a night off to rest. The Maryland product inked a contract with the Heat in August and is fighting to take hold of one of the team's two-way slots, and Sunday's showing will most certainly help his case.

Heat's Jahmir Young: Agrees to deal with Miami
The Heat and Young agreed to a deal Wednesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
After appearing in five games during the Las Vegas Summer League, Young was waived by the Bulls but has been able to find an opportunity elsewhere. The 24-year-old guard will compete for a two-way spot with the Heat ahead of training camp, so it's possible most of his playing time will come in the G League in 2025-26. Over 43 G League appearances last year, Young averaged 21.7 points, 7.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.9 steals in 34.1 minutes per game.

Young dominated Wednesday's game, powering his team to a win with a game-high 37 points, including six made three-pointers.
