Anderson tallied 15 points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 8-9 FT), two rebounds, six assists and one steal across 22 minutes in Friday's 117-98 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Anderson led Charlotte in assists and got to the line nine times, scoring in double figures for the second time in as many preseason appearances. Conversely, he committed four turnovers on a night when the Hornets coughed it up 24 times. The No. 18 overall pick in the 2026 draft could find backup point guard minutes early in the season if Coby White (calf) remains sidelined.

Anderson (ankle) recorded 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and two steals across 21 minutes in Wednesday's 114-93 preseason loss to Boston.
After missing Charlotte's first two preseason contests with an ankle sprain, Anderson made an efficient return, shooting 50 percent from the field while connecting on two of three attempts from deep. The rookie guard also contributed defensively with two steals, giving the Hornets a promising look at his potential as he competes for backcourt minutes.

Hornets' Christian Anderson: Headed to Charlotte
Anderson was selected by the Hornets with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
While Anderson is a bit undersized at the guard position at 6-foot-2, he's a tremendous three-point shooter and has a polished offensive game. Anderson averaged 18.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 3.3 triples and 1.5 steals on 47/42/81 shooting splits during his sophomore season at Texas Tech, but he'll join a crowded backcourt in Charlotte, where he'll be competing for minutes with the likes of LaMelo Ball, Coby White and Kon Knueppel.
