Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Shines in spot start
Alexander-Walker posted 21 points (8-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 32 minutes during Friday's 128-108 win over the Pacers.
Alexander-Walker drew the start in place of Trae Young, who was ruled out due to a knee injury. Alexander-Walker continues to fare well offensively, as he's now scored 17 or more points in five of his first six appearances of the 2025-26 campaign. He's also provided a spark defensively by racking up two steals in three of his last four matchups.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Starting sans Young
Alexander-Walker is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pacers, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.
The Hawks are awaiting some clarity on Trae Young's (knee) injury, and Alexander-Walker will get the first look in the first unit in Young's stead. Alexander-Walker has averaged 16.2 points, 3.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 30.0 minutes per contest in five games this season.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Sizeable role incoming
Alexander-Walker recorded 18 points (7-17 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 117-112 win over Brooklyn.
Alexander-Walker shifted to the bench Wednesday, although that could be a short-term move following a knee injury to Trae Young. While it is only being reported as a knee sprain, there is a decent chance Young will miss time moving forward. Alexander-Walker has been arguably the most consistent player for the Hawks this season and could very well find himself with a sizeable role, at least for the short term. If he is available in your league, you may want to go and rectify that immediately.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Moving to bench Monday
Alexander-Walker is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Bulls, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Alexander-Walker started the previous two games but will return to a bench role with Zaccharie Risacher (ankle), Jalen Johnson (ankle) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) all back in action. In his Hawks debut off the bench Wednesday against the Raptors, Alexander-Walker posted 10 points, four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 28 minutes.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Paces Atlanta in loss
Alexander-Walker contributed 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block over 30 minutes in Saturday's 117-100 loss to the Thunder.
Alexander-Walker led a short-handed Hawks team in scoring Saturday with Zaccharie Risacher (ankle), Jalen Johnson (ankle) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) all sidelined. The wing made his second consecutive start and, while scoring slightly less than in his previous outing, was much sharper from deep, hitting 50 percent of his three-point attempts after shooting just 10 percent from distance Friday. Though Alexander-Walker likely won't start when Atlanta is fully healthy, the team's current injury situation should keep him heavily involved, and he projects to log consistent minutes even when coming off the bench.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Drops 19 points in start
Alexander-Walker closed with 19 points (8-18 FG, 1-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, four assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Friday's 111-107 victory over the Magic.
Alexander-Walker moved into the starting lineup, replacing Zaccharie Risacher, who was ruled out with an ankle injury. The move yielded immediate rewards, with Alexander-Walker scoring 19 points in the comeback victory. This is precisely why the Hawks acquired him during the offseason, to provide the team with much-needed depth at the guard position. While he will clearly be an every-night part of the rotation, managers shouldn't expect this kind of production on a regular basis.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Starting sans Risacher
Alexander-Walker will start in Friday's game against the Magic.
With Zaccharie Risacher (ankle) sidelined, Alexander-Walker will step into the starting five. The 27-year-old swingman logged 28 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's season-opening loss to the Raptors, posting 10 points (2-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block.

Alexander-Walker will come off the bench during Wednesday's game against the Raptors.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Drops 17 points in spot start
Alexander-Walker closed with 17 points (6-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one block in 28 minutes during Thursday's preseason loss to the Rockets.
Alexander-Walker moved into the starting lineup, replacing Dyson Daniels, who was given the night off. Alexander-Walker ended as one of four Hawks players to score double-digits, an encouraging sign following his offseason move from Minnesota. He is slated to come off the bench, likely serving as a primary backup like Luke Kennard. While he typically won't play enough to be considered in standard fantasy drafts, Alexander-Walker is certainly more than capable of producing fantasy-worthy numbers, if and when he is handed a larger role.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Available for Thursday
Alexander-Walker (rest) will be available to play during Thursday's preseason game against the Rockets, Caleb Johnson of 92.2 The Game reports.
Alexander-Walker will likely receive plenty of playing time during the preseason finale. Head coach Quin Snyder made it clear that he'll be playing his top players in the team's final preseason game, considering there's ample time before the regular-season opener against the Raptors on Oct. 22.

Alexander-Walker (rest) did not play in Saturday's exhibition against the Grizzlies.
There was no report of an injury for Alexander-Walker, so this appears to have been a planned night off for the veteran. Alexander-Walker has looked sharp in the preseason so far and projects to be Atlanta's sixth man this season.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Paces Atlanta in preseason loss
Alexander-Walker totaled 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt), three assists, one rebound and one steal over 19 minutes in Monday's 122-113 preseason loss to the Rockets.
Alexander-Walker impressed in his Hawks debut, leading the team in scoring while knocking down three triples with efficiency. The versatile wing signed a four-year, $62 million deal this offseason and projects as both a key contributor and glue guy for an Atlanta squad aiming to take a step forward and make noise in the postseason.
